Social Media Policy

Social Media & Online Engagement Policy
This notice outlines how Wellspring Counseling Co. interacts with and approaches social media and online engagement. Please read it carefully and reach out with any questions.

Our Approach to Social Media
Social media can be a powerful tool to promote awareness, reduce stigma, and offer support around mental health topics. While Wellspring Counseling Co. maintains a social media presence for educational and general wellness purposes, we are committed to upholding professional boundaries and ethical standards that protect the confidentiality, privacy, and therapeutic relationship of our clients.

Boundaries & Confidentiality
To maintain your confidentiality and the integrity of our therapeutic relationship, therapists at Wellspring Counseling Co. do not accept friend or contact requests from current or former clients on any social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, etc.).

We also do not use social media for communication regarding scheduling, clinical concerns, or personal matters. Comments, messages, or direct communications through social media platforms are not monitored and should not be considered secure or HIPAA-compliant.

Clients are encouraged to update personal information through our secure client portal and direct all communication regarding scheduling, appointments, or clinical questions through secure channels (e.g., phone, encrypted email, or platforms like Alma or Headway, depending on your provider).

No Endorsements or Testimonials
In alignment with the ethical guidelines of our profession, we do not request or accept testimonials, endorsements, ratings, or reviews from clients. While some platforms (like Yelp or Google) may create business listings without our knowledge or consent, any such listings are not intended as a request for client feedback and should not be interpreted as such.

Viewing or Following Client Content
Therapists do not “follow” or search for current or former clients on social media or the internet. Our relationship is based on the content shared within the therapy space. If you wish to share something from your online life (a post, a story, or any digital content), you are welcome to bring it into session for discussion.

In rare cases—such as a safety concern where you are unreachable through traditional methods—your therapist may use public online resources to attempt to locate you or ensure your wellbeing. Such action would only be taken when clinically appropriate, documented, and discussed with you at the earliest opportunity.

Your Engagement is Optional
You are under no obligation to follow, like, or interact with Wellspring Counseling Co.’s or Krystalgeorgerd social media accounts. Your decision to engage with our online presence will not impact your access to therapy services in any way. Your privacy and therapeutic progress remain our top priority.

Questions or Concerns?
If you have any questions about this policy or how online engagement is handled at Wellspring Counseling Co., please speak directly with your therapist or contact us at (909) 913-4581. Social media policies may be updated as platforms and ethical guidelines evolve, and we will notify clients of any significant changes.
